Imagine sitting in a room with people who barely know you (including some family members) and being asked a long list of questions about why you choose to do certain things the way you do them. Imagine answering them and them looking at you like you’re a monster with two heads. Now imagine that there are people sitting in a small corner of the room who are excited about what you do and how you do it. What would it be like to go over and talk to the people who are excited about what you do and how you do it?
At certain points in the year it becomes extremely popular for ladies to seek out a career or healthy lifestyle coach because they are surrounded by family members that like to be nosey. Or maybe they’re not nosey. Maybe they’re just sparking up conversation. In either case, it sometimes triggers ladies to contact me for assistance on how to create a new life story and learn how to act around these people.
Everyone Has their Own Purpose
If I’m totally honest with you I find it boring to do a lot of things the way other people do them just because it’s what you’re “supposed” to do in life. I’m even yawning thinking about it as I type. I guess doing things the status-quo way creates order in society. I’m not opposed to order. We need order in society sometimes to be functional. I’m opposed to people thinking that everybody should be the same.
Those are often the same EXACT people who don’t know who the hell they are and what they want to do in life. They’re also the same exact people who sulk when they can’t figure out how to be excited about waking up in the morning to a new day full of opportunities. Do you wanna know how I know? I know because those type of people contact me too! They sometimes say that they’re just living day to day, paycheck to paycheck, boyfriend to boyfriend and need some type of direction. They have absolutely NO idea what it means to look internally to discover who they are and what makes them excited and happy to live.
So, the next time you’re at an event and all eyes are on you wondering why you do things the way you do, say “Because this is who I am right now in this moment. What makes YOU happy to be alive in this moment?” Then just listen to their response.
When I speak to women over the age of 40 and they tell me things like, “I wish I had started a career I really wanted to do when I was in my early 20’s”, Or “I wish I had saved more money”. Or, “I wish I had married my high school sweetheart, I tell them that there is still time on earth to do the things you aspire to do. Create a list and do these things one item at a time until you feel like you are fulfilled with a meaningful life.
That’s what I’ve been doing the majority of my adult life and that’s what I intend to continue doing. I will be getting rid of people, things and mundane ideas that drain me and add more things that get me excited about living. Do you want to know why? Well, because for years living my truth has gotten me waaaayyy further ahead than following someone else’s schedule for my life.
If you’d like to watch how I do this over the next decades of my life on this earth then join me in my Nutrition 4 Busy Women group where I often share parts of my life and also explain how you can be the creator of a meaningful life too.
