Meet the Host

As an international retreat host, creator of DreamStyle Collective magazine and wellness-based career consultant, leader and coach, I help purpose-driven souls use their God-given gifts, talents, interests and experiences to bring their dreams to reality. My passion and life’s purpose is not only to be a light and supportive woman toward you and your aspirations, but to also continuously engage in experiences that support my own goals and aspirations to serve at my highest potential.

When I’m not hosting retreats, I’m often listening to a wide variety of eclectic music, pretending to know how to sing & dance to up-tempo Afrobeat and Caribbean music in my home, trying new ethnic foods, photographing aesthetic sites and basking in nature, particularly aqua water and white sand beaches on a warm, sunny day with friends and family. I’m looking forward to getting to know more about your experiences, dreams, and stories as we continue walking down this path together, with the next stop being at a retreat destination of your choice.

Family Vacation

Now that you’ve envisioned what I’m inviting you to let’s take a walk along this path together. I’ll spare you the boring academic details I’ve acquired since earning my first graduate degree in 2002 and start by sharing a few family vacation moments…

I remember as a child going on impromptu weekend road trips and summer vacation trips. One trip at 8 years old comes to mind. At the time, it seemed normal to be squeezed into the back seat of a blue 80’s Ford Tempo with my two siblings driving to sunny Florida from Maryland to visit the “happiest place on earth”, Disney World. I also recall when we rolled into a ditch off the side of a southern road in the same car and patiently waited for the first Good Samaritan to stop and assist us.  I suppose my dad was still learning how to drive at the ripe old age of 30 years old.

That same vehicle decided it was exhausted from taking us to our destination and left us with transmission problems on the side of an unfamiliar North Carolina road.  These were the days before heavy credit card usage, and my parents only had enough emergency money for the vehicle repairs to finish the rest of the trip back home. I remember all five of us, my mom, dad, myself and two siblings standing around the hotel table sharing one McDonald’s meal because that’s all the money we had left to spend.  Anything more seemed frivolous considering we still needed to pay for gas to make it back. We as a family laugh about those experiences now, but I’m not sure how comical it was to my parents in those moments.

The travel stories we share and memories we create are part of the driving force to continue creating even more ongoing amazing experiences. I’d also love to share some meaningful experiences and perhaps comical stories with YOU too.
